Web Developer: For my consulting I do various tasks within the web development project life cycle for different clients depending on their needs. Technologies I have used vary greatly depending on the clients’ requirements. Some of these include PHP, HTML, CSS, J2EE, Joomla, Wordpress, CakePHP, Ruby on Rails and mySQL.

October 2007 – October 2008
Front End Web Developer:    Create new site features and layout within a LAMP architecture using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and YUI (Yahoo User Interface JavaScript Library) on a mySQL database. New features implemented include the ability to save items for later use and display them or revise them in a new interface. Rewrote the layout of the main application. Created a web application for the network operations center that managed their shift reporting and centralized shift communications.

August 2007 – September 2007
Web Developer:    Using Java web stack including Spring, Hibernate, and Tapestry and an Oracle database to deliver various functionality additions to a customer facing warehouse management solution.

October2006 – June 2007
Software Developer/Technical Project Manager: Developed software and managed the technical aspects of various projects through the entire project life cycle to support the research division. Lead developer for a client based tool, integrating web content, used in production in a health care clinical environment as the primary mechanism of storing and accessing clinical data and reports. Created web applications to automate support functions and reporting of data gathered from client application.

August 2006 – October2006
Java Enterprise Developer: Assisted in the development of a company wide web based order entry, tracking, and management software application for the Internet service provider industry based on Enterprise Java Beans, Java 1.5, JBoss, Ant, Eclipse, and XML technology. I also worked on translation software between provisioning databases utilizing SOAP.

September 2000 – February 2006
Web Developer / Project Manager / Database Administrator / System Administrator: Project manager and primary developer of web applications used to manage data input, analysis and reporting for the planning team. Applications used to manage the new product discovery process, build stocking plans for depots world wide, and oversee inventory management. These web tools were implemented using Apache, Tomcat, and SQL Server. Completely redeveloped and maintained server lab used to host developed applications and other web applications, house data repositories and services, file servers, testing platforms, and application servers for team shared applications. Created clustered server environment for improved up time and data redundancy. I was responsible for all aspects of application development including client requirement discovery, specification documentation (functional and development), project schedules, software development, and data integration with various data providers within the organization. I also managed the clustered SQL Server database used as the back end of all web applications and created backup and recovery plans, views, Data Transformation Services (DTS’s), database indexing, and SQL optimizations.

Software Developer: Developer of a stand alone application that customized a multimedia application used world wide to assist in training server builders to repair and integrate servers. Application distributed to customers to assist in branding tool to their own look, feel and content rather than companies so tool could be redistributed under their name. Based on Python and using the wxPython GUI toolkit.

March 2000 – September 2000
Web Developer: Assisted with the electronic commerce functions including credit card processing, billing, and accounting. Also worked on ancillary product for main site used by printers to purchase surplus supplies. Used Java, Servlets, JDBC, EJB?s, HTML and XSLT. Implemented credit card processing using Verisign API for financial transactions.

Adjunct Instructor: Taught a for-credit class in Visual Basic for Applications using Excel and Access with applications in Finance.

December 1999 – March 2000
Web Developer: Linked existing infrastructure to newly purchased security package used to manage security and customer portal into protected account information and unique customer content. Developed using J2EE technologies among other Java web stack technologies and used by company customers nationwide.

Software Developer:  Implemented device drivers for SCSI switches using C++. Developed for Solaris operating system.
Software Developer: Created user interface to device drivers that functioned on multiple platforms including Solaris and Windows. Java and Swing were used for application development. Installer created using Install Anywhere for both Solaris and Windows.

Web Developer: Part of a team of software developers working on a internal web application used to manage the process of testing within various system configurations. Included storing new system information, testing plans, results of testing, and tribal knowledge gained while doing testing that help with fixing system integration and stability issues. Technologies used included Java, Applets, HTML, JavaScript, TCL, and SQL Server for various development projects within web site.

July 1996 – January 1999
Team Project Manager: Responsible for development teams working on various projects, managed client requirement discovery, created specification documentation (functional and development), project scheduling, and human resource management.

Windows C++ / MFC Application:  Service diagnostic and repair tool for trucks. Used in every service bay for trucks of this class around the world.

Java Servlet Application: Company Phone Book and Organizational Chart web based application using Java web stack including Servlets, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL Server.

Java Applet: Web based data entry and email notification tool.
